ARt & Apples Festival
DRAW will be a partner organization at the annual Art & Apples festival in Rochester, MI on September 11-13. As a Gate sponsor, our volunteers will greet festival patrons as they enter the event, explain how donations support both Paint Creek Center for the Arts AND DRAW, and distribute stickers and festival guides to people attending the festival.
The event is a wonderful opportunity for DRAW volunteers to interact with the community at large, spreading the word about our mission, and the ways people can get involved with our on going work of serving disaster victims. Sign up today to work a shift on the weekend of September 11-13.
Rocket Community Challenge
For the second year, DRAW is participating in the Rocket Community Challenge; a competition between local charities, with plenty of bonuses available to worthy nonprofits across the region.
This year, we are setting the same goal as we did in last year's Rocket Community Challenge: We are trying to find 100 donors who can give $25.
Beginning at noon each day during the week of August 3-7, Rocket is matching donations of $25, until matching funds run out for the day. With the beginning of the 2026 Hurricane Season underway, this kind of support would be invaluable to our day-to-day operations.
5k Bucket Run / Walk
We’ve finally come to race week at DRAW! We are still looking for dozens of more runners/walkers for this upcoming Saturday.
And this year, we’ve gone all out for our runners/walkers. All registered participants will receive:
-This year’s race shirt
-The most robust swag bag we’ve put together in our seven years.
-Discounted drinks at The Coffee Bucket after the race.
-Live music at the Coffee Bucket as an unofficial race “afterparty”.
-The chance to make a difference in the lives of disaster victims.

Christmas of Hope Concert
Join us for the 5th annual Christmas of Hope concert. The show is at the Flagstar Strand Theatre in Pontiac on Sunday, Dec. 22, at 6:30pm. Tickets are now on sale, either online or at The Coffee Bucket for $30 each.
Our cast of 20 insanely talented musicians from metro Detroit will be bringing in the Christmas holiday by squeezing every ounce of Christmas spirit into one night.
Proceeds from the night will continue to support hurricane victims around the country.
